This isJessica Meir, NASA astronaut, comparative physiologist, and pretty much a total badass.
She recently tweeted out a short video,accompanied by some text saying that she was entering a space equivalent zone for the first time in her career, an atmosphere so inhospitable that water boils spontaneously.
Luckily for scientist Jessica Meir, a random dude (whose bio mentioned “@SpaceCampUSA alum”) was on hand to correct her explanation.
This is what has become known now as “mansplaining,” which now hasan actual dictionary definition.
It’s when a man “explains something to someone, typically a woman, in a manner regarded as condescending or patronizing.”
For example, explaining how space works to an astronaut, hypothetically speaking.
Twitter quickly rose to the occasion like an actual female astronaut in zero gravity.
