Jay Z is reportedlymaking an album in response to wife Beyonc’s Lemonade in an effort to tell his side of the story, but I spent $50 to save him the time and energy.

A source recently told Us Weekly,

Jay is working on an album telling his side of things.

Cool, Jay, cool. Instead, maybe I’ll just explain your side of things based on offhand comments made by my therapist.

Last week, I spent my $50 therapy copay on 45 minutes of reflection on Beyonc’s visual album, Lemonade.

Don’t look at me like that. I don’t tell you how to spend your money/neglect your mental and emotional health in favor of some light psychological exploration of the Carter family.

During this session, my doctor explained how — and I’m paraphrasing into oblivion, here — through the process of dealing with her husband’s infidelity, Beyonc chose to offer Jay Z the love and acceptance he never thought he truly deserved.

By not giving up on even the darkest parts of her partner, Bey changed the course of their marriage and her husband’s approach to it. Rather than reinforcing the I’m-no-better-than-this mentality that dictated Jay’s behavior in the past, Yonc insisted the man she committed her life to was capable of reform, fidelity and honesty.

Her belief in Jay granted him a new perception of himself, because when Beyonc believes you’re above abandonment, the seemingly impossible becomes possible.

She chose love over fear, guys, and it worked. It’s a classic tale.

Anyway, I’m willing to admit this is not the case.

Perhaps Twitter is right and the whole thing is a publicity stunt.Perhaps the album is actually about Bey’s relationship with her father.Perhaps the couple overheard this gripping story while doing some volunteer work at a shelter somewhere and decided to steal it for their own financial gain because they are secretly monsters.

Who knows, honestly. The point is, by the time Jay Z releases this alleged album, our 30-day free trials of TIDAL will have ended.

We shall never find the answers we seek.
